Information
Dynamic model of a non-recuperative Organic Rankine Cycle with its control system.
Modeling assumptions
- The pressure drops are lumped into two punctual pressure drop components in the vapor lines
- The control is performed using two PI controllers
- The superheating is controlled with the pump speed and the evaporation temperature is controlled with the expander speed.
- The properties of R245fa are calculated using CoolProp
- The volumetric pump and the scroll expander are modeled using efficiency curves derived from experimental data
