The ThermoCycle library aims at covering a wide range of thermal capacities. Therefore, it includes models of different types of compressors and expanders, including positive-displacement and turbomachines.

Different levels of details are also proposed ranging from simple models based on performance curves to deterministic models following the crank angles and computing the properties of the fluid in the expansion chamber at each time step, taking into account intenal leakage, heat transfers, pressure drops, friction, etc.
